Tangerine And Blue by Anne Valerie Hash Paris Fashion Week SS'12

Photos and Text by Paige Donner

Anne Valérie Hash has designed a feminine and tangerine-tempered silhouette for her SS’12 collection, shown this week in Paris. She aims to put forth the best qualities of the French woman for the world to admire: elegance, daring and refinement.
The collection plays with tangerine, Klein blue and pomegranate mixing in with the static black and white and melding the house’s signature favorite palette of powder, smoky blue and sand. Cotton chiffons, silks, taffetas flow like a perfumed breeze as the designs move along the runway.
Delicate works of macrame’ detailing in the cuffs, collars and bust plates set the collection apart as well as brushes of Asian-inspired prints in waistbands and insets. Achieved is an elegant sobriety balancing the silhouette’s contrast of draping and vertical lines. SS’12 focuses on the cut, closer to a woman’s body, accentuating the waist, subtly shaping the hips, underlining the shoulders.
